He received his early medical education at Medical University of Sofia where he continued with the residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He was Board Certified in in 1970 and short after that he began to serve as an Assistant Professor at the Medical University of Varna.
Since 1973 he became a clinical associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and as a chief attending physician continuing with teaching responsibilities in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1980 he received his PhD after completion the doctoral program in Men’s reproductive health.
Dr Tsvetkov has a very extensive list of publications appearing in major health oriented journals in Europe concerning male infertility, surgical treatment in urogynecology, obstetrical complications, pathologic pregnancy, infections of the genital tract and oncologyc diseases etc.
